Reader exogenesis's desktop isn't specifically designed for work, but it does look great, serves as a quick launcher for his most commonly used applications, and gives him access to system monitors at a glance.
This desktop reminds us a bit of the Black Marble Desktop, which is a bit more suited for an HTPC, or maybe a second screen that's not used as frequently as a primary. Either way, here's what you'll need to make this your own:
The whole thing looks really sharp when it's put together, but it's also worth noting that you could lift any specific part of this desktop that you like and apply it to yours with minimal effort. The Drop theme for Windows is specifically good looking.
If you're tweaking with Rainmeter and need a little help, stop by the original thread in our #featured-desktop forum to ask your questions, or check out our guide to Rainmeter.
Do you have a good-looking, functional desktop that you want to see featured here? Submit it?along with where you got the wallpaper, skins, and geeklets?to us for review. We have two different ways you can share it with us:
Linux, Mac, Windows, all are welcome. Whatever you choose to use, include a description of how you made your desktop when you send it in. Without that, we can't tell others how to make it for themselves so they can be featured too!
