Georgian College News ? Top executives and workplace champion ...

Home ? Events, Student News

Whether you?re currently employed or thinking ahead to when you graduate, chances are that workplace safety is the furthest thing from your mind. Renowned health and safety advocate Rob Ellis is coming to Georgian on Thursday, March 8, with a message that will change the way you think about safety, regardless of the field you?re in. Rob brings with him executives from some of Ontario?s leading corporations and a personal story about his son who lost his life in a workplace accident at the age of 18 ? it was only his second day on the job.

Rob turned his personal tragedy into an opportunity to protect and educate young workers. He established the Our Youth at Work Foundation and created a resourceful website MySafeWork.com.

You?re invited to come out and listen to Rob?s story and network with business leaders who champion safety in their own workplaces.

  • Where: Georgian College Theatre
  • When: March 8, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
  • What: Networking and refreshments with Rob Ellis and business leaders, presentation, interactive Q&A

All students and staff are welcome.
