George Zimmerman Apologizes to Parents of Trayvon Martin

In an interview that airs tonight on Fox News - more excerpts from which we'll run tomorrow - George Zimmerman issues an emotional apology to the parents of Trayvon Martin.

Asked if he has a message for the family of the late 17-year old - who Zimmerman admits to shooting - the man on trial for his murder responds:

"I would tell them that, again, I’m sorry... I am sorry that [Trayvon's parents] buried their child ... I can’t imagine what it must feel like and I pray for them daily."

This interview represents the first public statements Zimmerman has made on the case. He's charged with second degree murder and faces life in prison if convicted.

In April, during a bond hearing, Zimmerman made a similar apology to Trayvon's mother and father.
